The Clean Leave In Conditioner That Instantly Tames Unruly Hair: Innersense

If your nontoxic conditioner is leaves your hair tangled and lacking moisture, Innersense Organic Leave In Conditioner is the solution for detangling and smoothing unruly hair without weighing it down. Here is my honest review.

woman's hand holding a bottle of innersense leave in conditioner with text overlay.

When it comes to conditioners made with clean ingredients, I've found that it's incredibly difficult to find something that works for fine or oily hair. Most products seem to teeter on being lightweight and not quite moisturizing enough, or being super heavy and leaving my hair oily after a single day. I refuse to wash my hair every day (dry shampoo is my friend!), so I tend to pick the former. I have found one product that I love for it's weight, but it still leaves my hair tangly when I step out of the shower, making it difficult to run the hairbrush through.

I've finally found a solution that leaves me with smooth, tangle-free hair that isn't weighed down or greasy! AND I can still use my favorite conditioner in the shower. It's an organic leave in conditioner that is a must have for anyone with unruly tangles or parched hair: Innersense Leave In Conditioner. Read on for my full, honest review.

    What Is Leave In Conditioner?

A leave in conditioner is, as described, a conditioner that you leave in your hair instead of rinsing it out. You use it post-shower, after washing with your normal shampoo and conditioner, on damp hair. It is more lightweight than a regular conditioner, and detangles, adds shine and moisturizes hair as part of the styling routine. You can think of it like a hair mask that you leave in and can be used daily (or with each wash).

    Why Clean Conditioner Matters

Traditional conditioners, including leave in products, often contain harmful ingredients like silicones, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. Silicones, while giving your hair that slippery feel, don't actually allow moisture to penetrate strands, leaving hair dry, while also weighing hair down. They can also build up and cause scalp inflammation. Parabens, used as preservatives, have been linked to cancer, and "fragrance" can mean any combination of chemicals that could cause harm to health, including allergies, skin irritation, and potentially even reproductive harm. Probably best to skip these ingredients. Luckily, there are plenty of great products with clean formulations.

Innersense Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner: My Honest Review

    Ingredients: 9/10

All Innersense products are EU Certified, organic, cruelty free, and formulated without phthalates, ethoxylates, sulfates, silicones, 1,4 dioxane, parabens, petro compounds, propylene and butylene glycol, PEG, MEA, TEA, MIA, EDTA artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.

This leave in conditioner includes anti-inflammatory tamanu oil, moisturizing honey, lavender, and rosemary oil, among other beneficial ingredients.

    Experience: 9/10

The products smells pleasant with hints of sweetness and lavender, without being overbearing, and feels light when spritzing. The pump works well and distributes the product evenly. My only complaint, which isn't a huge deal, is that the lettering on the bottle tends to rub off easily.

    Performance: 10/10

I can't say enough great things about this leave-in conditioner! It instantly smooths and detangles my hair after showering. After blow-drying, my hair is noticeably more moisturized with less frizz and fewer flyaways. And best of all, it doesn't weigh my hair down or leave it greasy, which is a big concern for me.

    Value: 8/10

The price point is pretty good. A little goes a long way, so the product lasts a long time. The brand offers a travel sized bottle, which is nice if you want to try the leave in conditioner before committing to the full sized bottle. Even the travel size lasts me at least 3-4 months, with me using it twice a week.

    Overall: 9/10

    Overall Impressions

This has become a must-have product for me. While I truly love the clean conditioner I use, it doesn't detangle well. This leave-in conditioner fixes that for me, and adds noticeable moisture to my hair. I was worried that using a leave-in conditioner would weigh my hair down or leave it oily, causing me to increase the frequency of washes, but to my surprise, it doesn't weigh my hair down one bit! It is full of volume and free from frizzy flyaways. And my hair looks and feels healthy and hydrated after using it for several weeks. I highly recommend it for anyone needing extra moisture or who struggles to brush their tangly hair post-shower!
