This serum contains not only 10% vitamin C in a stable, highly absorbable form, it also contains other active ingredients like collagen peptides to firm skin and reduce fine lines, red algae, which acts like an antioxidant to protect skin. This serum gets bonus points for Kinbiome, a prebiotic formulation that supports the skin's barrier.
Experience: 8/10
The texture of this is creamy, yet lightweight and glides on easily and smoothly and sits well under makeup. The smell is pleasant but light, with hints of citrus and vanilla. Though I don't love the plastic neon yellow packaging, it's sturdy and works well.
Performance: 9/10
Upon application in the morning, my skin felt plump and hydrated first thing. Long term, the serum works great for brightening skin! I was shocked at how quickly I saw results! After a couple of weeks of daily use, I could definitely tell a difference in the tone of my skin and improvements in minor dark spots. My skin looks brighter and refreshed.

Generally Kinship's products are decently priced, and this product is no exception. At $45 for 1 oz, this serum is well below most clean vitamin C serums on the market, though I do think the texture means it doesn't go as far as an oil based serum would.

Overall Impressions
Kinship's Brightwave vitamin C serum has quickly become part of my daily routine for glowing skin! I apply it in the morning under my regular moisturizer and it not only adds a little moisture and plumpness to my skin right away, it also visibly brightens my skin with regular use. I can definitely tell a difference in the brightness, smoothness, and evenness of my skin and will continue using it daily. I do have two minor complaints, both having to do with the texture: once you get toward the bottom of the product, it doesn't come out of the pump very well, so you've got to unscrew it and coax out the rest; and I also just prefer an oil-based serum since I find they clog my pores less. But for the price, this clean and effective vitamin C serum can't be beat!
